ESP used this dataset to evaluate NatureLM-audio, the first AI foundation model for bioacoustics.

Because AI breakthroughs depend on accessible data. If BEANS-Zero disappeared (server failure, lost funding, shutdown), no one could verify ESP's results or build on this research.
